We asked our customer Linda C of Peoria, IL what issues she had been experiencing in her home. Watch Video »
Our client owns an historic home in Peoria IL that boasts a large attic. Our client had an unwanted visitor in their attic (a bat) and wanted to ensure they wouldn’t have more. Additionally, our customer wanted a cooler upstairs in the summer and to improve his home’s resale value.
The solution our customer chose was to have PCB Insulators remove the old, dirty batt insulation, air-seal all of the leaks and gaps (including around the chimney), install scuttle cover for the attic access, then blow in new cellulose insulation.
The resulting blower door test (performed before and after the job) shows a decrease by 2000 cfm of airflow. There have been no more bats in the attic, and the customer’s upstairs is now more comfortable.
